Margee, This gov. site has info and a calculator you might enjoy taking a look at. It allows you to put in your home price at time of purchase and then gives you back an estimate of it's value now...It might give you a general idea of how prices are changing in your area.

Hope this helps a little and you enjoy it, Dunes

Good question.

Margee the only way to know the real answer to that is to have a new appraisal. In general however all areas in Portland and surrounding counties by now have dropped between 4 and 18% in value. I am guessing that McMinnville took a decent hit to values. This area is much like Hillsboro and Beaverton and Forest Grove.

McMinnville is such a nice area. It is probably worth $245K or so. Having said that try our interactive map based searching with birdseye view and aerial mapping.

Some solds will show on here as well.

Call or send me the address and I can zoom in and send you some really detailed sales comparables.

My gosh rates are almost down to 4% and the deals are so good. You will want to buy between now and about March as the market is bound to rebound and when it does the best values will be gone.

Thanks for the great question!
