What is the market currently for homes in the Southern New Hampshire (i.e. Jaffrey) region?

I own a vacation home with a fair amount of land near Mount Monadnock and we are interested in selling since we no longer live near there. Is the market there active at all?

Bruno,

Do not believe these realtors. I was in the area a couple of months ago and have been watching it. The prices are dropping and they will continue to drop. There is little activity.

Bruno...the market in Southern NH is much better then in the rest of the country. If you are not planning to come back in Jaffrey area i would sugest that you consider putting your house on the market , consider the paying the high taxes in Cheshire county , higher home insurance on vacant homes...etc. Well priced homes sell in weeks. Contact me and I am willing to do the comps and tell you for how much you can sell your house in todays market. I work in Cheshire county and will go out there to see the house and do the comps. Send me an e-mail with the adress of the property or call and we will go from there.

I'm not sure about Cheshire County but here on the south east in Rockingham County we have noticed a rise in activity. If your planning to sell this year now is the time! Speculators say next year will have a better market. You could wait until next spring but it's not a guarantee that the market will be a lot better.
