Boy, that is a loaded question. The very best realtor is one that speaks the same language as you, one with whom you have a rapport. To get the best represtentation, that realtor should also do quite a bit of business in your area. When a realtor is familiar with your area, they have an insight into what sells, what areas are popular and why. The best company once again is a loaded question. To be honest, as long as you stick with a company with a good reputation, good programs and lots of realtor support, you cannot go wrong. One of the things to think about in these times is that your company should have a strong internet presence. Newspapers don't sell houses any more. Most people start looking for a home on line. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
Even as an agent, it is hard for me to give you tips on selecting a good agent. Market knowledge is important; competency and experience is important; communication skills and their ability to get you to trust them is critical - perhaps the most critical. Can you here things you don't want to here or to believe and still think that agent has your best interest at heart and be willing to trust them? If so, give strong consideration to that agent.
Is the best agent the one that sells the most homes? Not necessarily. Is the best agent the one that only has you as a client? Probably not. Get personal references from the last 3 clients the agent had, that will tell you a lot.
I believe I am one of the best agents in the Spring Gorve Area. I have been licensed 15 years and have had lots of experience in this tough market. I am licensed in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. I would be happy to meet with you and show you what I do to sell your home.
