Do those dates stand for the day the buyer's closed on the house??? Or is the sold date before the closing date?

The sold date is the date when the house's title was transferred to the buyer - that's after the house went into contract, through escrow, funded, paid for, and then went to the county and had the title recorded under the new owner's (buyer) name, that's when we say the house is officially 'SOLD'.
