The person who advised you not to do a rent to own, I think gave you terrible advise... especially since they didn't explain why not to do RTO. This is an excellent woay for someone with not so good credit to get back into home ownership. don't do rent to own, it;s better to save a much as you can until you are ready, to buy. After a divorce is not wise to make drastic decisions with your life, give your self time to settle down
