Hi Ed:
Agents subscribes to various sites and/or tools to advertise their listings; the main one is the multiple listing service, but there are many others that we use to increase web exposures for our listings.
The main feed into Trulia is usually the agent's company that automatically feeds MLS data to Trulia, but some of the other sites an individual agent uses will also feed into Trulia or other sites before they are feed to Trulia.
The feeds that are from the MLS will be accurate but the status of listings on the other sites, might not be current and might never be current; and Trulia has no way of knowing that unless the feeds are manually changed by the agent and/or the incorrect status is reported to Trulia.
Basically, the ones that are fed thru the main Chanel from either the Brokerage site or directly from the Realtor should be up-to-date, the ones that are fed thru other channels might not be changes after the initial feed. .
Hope I make sense.
