Hi David,

That's quite a question, and you've received quite a variety of different answers. Are you looking for a "GOOD" agent, or an agent who knows Placentia well? ALL of us on Trulia are good agents. I'm sure we are all good at something - agent related.

For example, I know the history and special nuances of the area where I have worked for 32+ years, formerly called the Saddleback Valley, now more broadly known as South Orange County. Do I "know" Placentia? Well, I lived there, briefly, in 1970, so at least I know how to get there.

If I were you, the FIRST place to look is in the section "Find a Pro" - a tab up above. Of course that provides you with 128 different agents, so look for clues to narrow down the search. Have they given answers to other people inquiring about Placentia? Does their location, beside their photo say Placentia, or a zip code/city in close proximity? ( Yorba Linda, Fullerton, Brea.)

Personally, I would look for someone who has as much experience near Placentia, as I have near Coto de Caza, the primary community I serve. No one agent, not even after working in this county for over 32 years, knows enough about every pocket of Orange County to serve all potential clients with specific local expertise.

Good luck in getting properly connected, and in finding a terrific place to buy.

David,

Research my bio at http://www.aaronzapata.com. If you like what you see, send me and email at Aaron@aaronzapata.com. I live in YL and work out of the Prudential in Brea. I know Placentia. I like to communicate via email, text, and phone. Let's meet at Starbucks this week. If you like what you see, we can work together, if not, coffee's on me - no hassle - no obligation.

I'd love to help you find your home.

FYI - Prudenital is the number one company in North OC and we have the most listings and sales.

Look forward to meeting you.

David,

Congratulations on your decision to purchase a home! Placentia has had quite a few good buys in that price range. Most of the homes in that price range are going to be Bank Owned or Short Sales so time will be of the essence in making offers. My suggestion for you is to interview a few Realtors and select the one you are most comfortable with. The person you select must be on top of the distressed home market.

Feel free to check out my blog where I have several posts that pertain to the distressed home market:

Good luck in your search for a Realtor and finding your dream home.

FIRST ANSWER

Hi David,

Well....I'm a good agent who would love to work with you :). There are some great properties in Placentia right now....I'm sure we can find some that will interest you.

What I normally do to start with a new client is to set up a website where we can load a search of specific criteria and begin to create a list of possible homes. This is an example of one I have set up as a sample:

http://socallistings.marketlinx.com/portal/?PID=1176885&…

This is a free site and as you can see...you can make notes, map homes, send me a direct email for questions etc. I can also recommend homes I think you might like. Once you have found some that interest you, we can go see them.

If you would like me to set this up for you and get started...shoot me an email and I'll get you a link for the site, then we can go from there.

Karen
