I would like to find out about a no doc mortgage. I heard that if you are self employed or do not have proof of income a no doc mortgage might be better because you do not have to show proof of income to get a loan. I would appreciate any advice.

A minimum of 20%, providing you qualify for. But they will pull your tax returns directly from the IRS, and contrast your declared income with the one in your income tax. Visit http://alexbaglioni.com/GetaRealEstateMortgage.html

The traditional "no doc" mortgage is gone, but there is still a Stated Income/Verified Asset program and Stated Income/Stated Asset program. Currently on the retail side of Flagstar, you can get a SIVA loan at 80% LTV and a SISA loan at 75% LTV, depending on your credit score. However, you do have to disclose your income on the loan application. You will need at least a 680 credit score to qualify for either program. If you income is too low, you can go with FHA and use a non-occupant co-borrower on your loan to help you qualify.
Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. I can origiante in all 50 states.
