Vicki:

The millage rate for taxes in Cumru Township for 2009 is .033215 (separated out, it's a millage rate of .00378 for the district and .022500 for the school, with the total millage being .033215 - you would multiply the assessment for the house by the school millage to get the school taxes, and by the district taxes to get the municipal & county taxes). A newly-constructed home in Cumru Township should be assessed at the Common Level Ratio for Berks County of 65%, giving an overall tax assessment value for the house at $208,000, so the total taxes on the house should be approximately $6,909.

If you are buying new construction, the purchase price is multiplied by the common level ratio which was about 66%. Then you multiply by the total millage in Cumru to get your total taxes. I suggest you contact the Berks County Tax assessors office for accurate rates and millage.
