Hi Chukp,

Your 1st step is to find a Realtor you want to work with and get prequalified with a good lender. BB&T is a great lender, you should qualify for USDA which is 100% or BB&T has an in house program called the Chip Program that is 100% financing. You will also qualify for the $8000 tax credit for 1st Time Home Buyers!! This is the time to buy, give me a call, I would love to help you.

Hi Chukp,

My fiance and I just bought a home in Clayton NC, we received 100 financing through the USDA program which any home in Johnston county is eligible for. Our interest rate was low, 4.5 percent. I have a credit score of 660 and my fiance has a score of 625, I know you do not have to have a credit score of 720 or at least not as a couple. We are receiving our financing through BB and T they are quite knowledgable about the whole process and can walk you through this.

Hope this helps!

Chuck,

Daniel is correct, there are a number of programs in NC that will get a first time home buyer in a home with nothing down. Your best first step is to find a great Realtor, maybe Daniel, they will help you through the process from start to finish. A Realtor usualy works with a number of great lenders in their area and are familiar with what programs are available. Now is the time to buy wit interest rates low.

Best wishes on this wonderful journey..

There are programs out there that can help you get into a house with no down payment. I work with a lender who is very knowledgeable about 1st time home buyer programs in NC, and she can take a look at your situation and see what you qualify for.

Give me a call or email (contact info at my website) and I can put you in touch with her, and we can see if we can get you into that house.

Your credit score is good enough to qualify for an FHA loan but you would need 3.5% down. The only 100% programs i know of right now are VA(must be a qualified veteran)& USDA but you wouldneed a credit score of 720. i suggest you contact a local agent to see if owner financing, land contract or lease purchase is a possibility. The problem is that you would probably need a down payment for any of these also.
