Depending on where you Ballground you live it will probably take you about 1 hour and 20 minutes with no traffic and I would give yourself at least 1 1/2 hours just in case. However, if you will be traveling during rush hour it may take you over 2 hours! This is if you live close to I-575 and is highway travel time. Ballground is a beautiful place to live - it's in the foothills of the BlueRidge Mountains.
Try http://www.mapquest.com where you can enter start and ending locations and choose shortest route. It will give you turn by turn directions, a map and driving time.
Hi Julie,
It is 59.7 miles 1hr 6 mins (but watch for the Atlanta Traffics which could double the commute time)
West Atlanta still offers the best commute traffic wise and house prices are good. If we can help let us know?

Hi Julie:
Ballground encompasses portions of Forsyth and Cherokee Counties. There are quite a few new subdivisions - but the feel is definitely woodsy.
I have acquiantances and clients who live there & they see wildlife regularly.
It is quite a way from the major arteries into the airport - coupled with the traffic from the ever growing subdivisions - 1 1/2 hours is really optimistic depending on departure time.
Julie, what attracts you to Ball Ground? In my experience folks interested in living there enjoy the rural setting. If you are going to commute frequently - or during the "normal" commute times - Ball Ground may be too far from the airport to be practical.
Depending on "speed" about 1 1/2 hours. Might want to check a map for best route. - Steve
From the airport it's roughly 2.5 hours. You could also do a mapquest/google maps route to get closer approxiamations.
It's "NORTH" Georgia for sure. Beautiful area though.
