I live in Apex, and I can tell you there are never to many foreclosures in the area. Land is becoming a premium as well. Most properties with an amount of acreage are going to be out towards New Hill, or out towards Jordan Lake.
Please check on the FMrealty.com website, Realtor.com, HUD website, or better yet, I can set you up to receive listings (foreclosures in any area, with your specific criteria) as they come new on the market.
Good Luck!
Marilyn,
I found some REO properties but only one that has that much land. It is not available yet and still in preforeclosure. It is an older home built in 1945 that looks as though it needs work.

The closest that I could find for a foreclosure is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath home on 2.78 acres in Pittsboro for 189,900.

Properties with that amount of acreage don't come up often in Apex. Many have less or more. I know of one that has .76 or so that is outside of a subdivision. Are you familiar with the foreclosure process in NC? Many people don't, and find the multiple upset periods a bit challenging. Feel free to search our website for properties. There are a lot of foreclosure sites out there, but so many are way out of date! The Cary News publishes them in their paper which comes out with the News and Observer once a week.
Finding anything with 2-3 acres in Apex can be a bit of a challenge these days! Land is at a premium in this area, because it's so central to Raleigh, Jordan Lake, Cary, and more.
Here is one place to check HUD listings - this is only one type of foreclosure, though, and there is nothing currently listed in Apex.
