I echo what the other answers say for obtaining information about getting foreclosure information. However, I do caution you to use discretion in using the sites. From my experiences I have noticed that many sites are less current than others. That is, some sites are not updated frequently enough to provide current information or information that has been verified.
I understand that looking for foreclosures without an agent is your goal and that is fine but I strongly suggest having an agent assist you in obtaining a foreclosed property. The process of purchasing foreclosed properties is daunting and often times even confuses less experienced agents. I know that you are not looking to hook up with an agent but you may feel free to visit my website at http://www.tartagliarealty.com and look at all of the foreclosures that you want for free.
Good Luck!

great site for this is redfin. They list foreclosures although the agents may not sell them in all markets. For that you can use i-agent realty.

You can usually access foreclosure records from local title companies. This service is typically provided to agents for free, but there may be a charge for consumers. Here is a link to a great article that is put out by First Americn Title on foreclosure properties:

You can also check the newspaper legal listings for trustees sales. Agents are still your best bet for receiving the most up to date information though. If you are searching, I would be happy to assist you.

What is your reason for not working with a REALTOR, especially when his or her service is free to you?

most websites you have to pay for information so realtors are usually your best option. otherwise you could use realtor.com and search every listing to pick out the bank owned homes in your area, that is a free site. good luck
