Never knew the Fox River to smell in that area. The house isn't even close to the river anyway! Jeez, anyway I was showing in Elgin a few weeks ago and the house is situated on the lot very oddly. The garage is sideways in the back of the house. I believe that is the problem. It's actually a nice looking house.

Hey rusty im not a broker, but Google mapping it, it looks like its close to the fox river. If you ever drive by there its smells horrible. I have known of people living around that river and I couldn't stand it.

Lyn makes a good point. How would Realtors in general know anything bad??? I always insist my buyers get a home inspection. Home inspectors are trained and certified to uncover defects. Especially, health and safety issues. I know some very good home inspectors. Call or email me today.

Goldcoast section of Elgin by the Hospital, good area. Exterior seems familiar so it could have been on the Historic House Tour. Seems like a good buy. Alot of character & quality in homes in that neighborhood. How would we know anything bad???
