well iam a student at west houston and i have been attending there since 6th grade i am currently an 8th grader. pesonally i would say that the teachers there are awesome they really care for you and are there for you when you need them the most (coming from personal experince). they will always love

Read more and care for the students there. we are all just one big family. but currently the school as gone through some not so great changes that has caused a huge decrease in the number of students attending. this affected the students the most.. so much that a lot of them were crying so much they started getting sick. :( Read less

This was our first year at WHCS and it was awesome. My son entered mid year because he was homeschooled. He loved the school, the kids, the teachers, everything. Every day was the best day of his life he said! The staff are amazing! Small classes make learning fun. I highly recommend this school.

This is our second year with WHCS. We decided to pull our Honor Roll son out and enroll him into KISD, but we lasted all of 6 weeks. Our son missed the one-on-one attention, family atmosphere, and the public school was behind academically. I know....we were shocked also! We're Blessed to be back

We thought this school would provide a more hands on environment for learning and individual attention due to its size. It is sorely lacking in basic supplies, lunches are dismal and the administration allows an environment of unruly behavior.

This school is truly wonderful for elementary students. Advanced academics, family atmosphere, everyone knows everyone. For middle school it's a bit small, but for elementary it's really amazing. Ms. Pickering is truly exceptional.

This is our second year at WHCS. We think this is the best option for our children's education. The principal is amazing and the teachers are outstanding. I understand that WHCS had problems in the past but the new administration has come in and made this the place to learn. There is no alternative

This is a great school. The staff and teachers care about each and every child as an individual. Because they do need supplies the children have become more resourceful. And get involved themselves to obtain things they need taking pride and appreciate what they have. I hope they can get a ninth grade
... Read more class for next year. Its been a great experience. Very strict rules the kids no this and behave. I feel my daughter is safer here than any other school she has attended. Other schools you have to worry about teachers verbally abusing, or strangers entering campus, other students. Not here. Academics are sufficient. These kids are not burnt out they are eager to learn. I think the teachers and staff are working hard with next to nothing and should be commended for their diligent efforts. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
