My children have been at CU for 2 years now. We love it. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The activities avalible for the students are 'top-notch'. There are things like Nature school, where the children participate in taking care of goats, chickens, rabbits and even a llama! The area is set up
... Read more like a 'farm' and the students 'help' to care for these and other animals. They have an amazing tree house, playground, and an outdoor theater! There are many, many more wonderful things to see at this truly one-of-a-kind school. Read less

I attended this school for seven years and i couldn't be luckier. I had amazing teachers, a nice place to go to school in, and awesome friends. If i had to rate this from a 1 to a 10 i would most definetly choose a 10.

I can't say enough about this amazing and unique school! My son attended CU from third through sixth grade, and it was an incredible experience for him. CU has such a positive, nurturing environment, and a hands-on style, with gifted and talented curriculum, that shows kids that learning is fun...and
... Read more the students are most definitely learning as you can see from their fantastic standardized test scores! In addition to the core academic subjects, my son learned so much about computers, technology, business, broadcasting, journalism, art, and even animal husbandry! Speakers come to talk to the students about business, and the upper elementary grades create their own businesses step by step and have a Business Expo! The inside of the school is a kid's dream come true- like a combination of a castle and a museum, with the children's artwork and other projects throughout. The playground area is a dream with a log cabin, teepee, and who can compare to the barnyard complete with goats, a llama, bunnies, chickens, and other animal friends. Electives offer 3-6 graders opportunities to learn about cooking, photography, animal husbandry, and other areas! The teachers really care about the student, and the administration is hands-on, dressing up for special days. Don't be surprised to see the principal dressed as Cinderella or Minnie Mouse on special occasions!! I highly recommend this school! Read less

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
