33 Parent Reviews for Suncoast High School

I am a student at Suncoast. Suncoast is the best place possible in all of Florida and probably southeastern America for high school academics, far superior to any private school in the area, but that is mainly due to the students and not the teachers, although there are many great and fantastic ones ...  Read more

I think that this school is very good and that if you are able to go here that you should be very greatful because the teachers are hands on and are very good in teaching there subjects, and it's amazing to go to such a wonderful school. Class of 2011

Suncoast is the best school anyone can imagine. It prepares students for the future and the nice thing about it challenges the mind.

Suncoast is challenging, but doable. The post two down from mine is wholly inaccurate! I knew a few kids who transfered to private schools, and said the same things, but the issue is not that Suncoast is easy it's that a lot of kids cheat. Suncoast gives it's students the benefit of the doubt, it teaches ...  Read more

As a current junior with straight A's so far in the IB program at Suncoast, I strongly disagree with the comment below in which the parent suggested Suncoast is far easier than other schools. I have several friends who have go to IB schools all over the world and I can say for sure that Suncoast has ...  Read more

Last quarter she barely kept A's and mostly B's, just slipping by in one class with an 80%. I think that this ...  Read more

I have had a son graduate from suncoast and a daughter recently transfer out after three years. The executive administration from the principal on down to the athletic director from years 2005-2008 has been terribly distrustful, unreachable and incompetent. Focus had shifted from incouraging and developing ...  Read more

Our kids recently graduated from Suncoast and Dreyfoos. These schools are both ranked in the top 1% in the nation - we're very lucky to have them. The key to long term excellence is parental support combined with tough admissions and ongoing academic standards. Compromise on any of these and the institution ...  Read more

I have daughters that have attended both Suncoast and Dreyfoos. While they are both top ranked A plus schools I find the admistration at Dreyfoos to be more supportive in doing what ever it takes to make their students successful. The administration at Suncoast pays too much attention to dress code ...  Read more
