Adda Clevenger is a school that all kids love, why because the academics are extremely weak, there is absolutely no structure in most classes and no set curriculum. The kids also love it here because the teachers don't give out a lot of homework. The English and Math classes are average but the science

Adda Clevenger emphasizes on the Performing Arts; currently they do three stage producductions every year plus they have two concerts, this takes up a TON of time. This school operates the old- fashioned way, there are no electronics besides televisions. Also the playground is a mess, it is a parking lot which is used for parking. Although apon graduating the school the kids develop self confidence through programs such as Speech and Acting which are in my opinion some good programs offered. Read less

My daughter has been thriving at AC for nearly 5 years...she is gifted but achievement well above grade-level which would not occur if she was not exposed to the material...sure others in her class may not be gifted, but they band together and learn at an appropriate pace. AC is a school with fabulous

AC's teachers handled our bright, very high-energy, very young son's unexpected transition from preschool to K with lots of love and skill. The busy, stimulating days are great for him, and the schedule is great for us working parents. Would like a nicer playground and more parent-teacher communication.

While the preformance program is exciting and offers dance and music, promises of performances that are to be double cast usually does not occur. Class placements are often an issue. Many a parent finds out that their child 'has another year to attend because High Schools want them older now'. Quite a large number of graduates struggle in High School in English and Math courses. I have found the school to be better and worse than I expected. Better in that my daughter's curiosity and intelligence are being put to better than good use. Even Kindergartners attend a full day of classes, with alternating schedules (M/W/F and T/Th), allowing my very smart, very high energy child

As a working parent, it is everything I hoped for and more. The only negative thing is that the school is run by it's visionary founder, and she is a genius, but not a school administrator. Expect spotty communication to parents. If, like me, you are a parent who wants to be involved in your child's school, you need to initiate that involvement. I am very active and very confident, but the first months were admittedly frustrating. Read less

My kid is thriving here, with both reading and math skills at least 2 grades above grade level. This school is intense, with a long school day, and not every kid thrives.
